Dr. Hong Shangkai (洪上凱) from the Emergency Medicine Department of Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (林口長庚醫院急診醫學部) participates in the humanitarian medical work of Doctors Without Borders (MSF 無國界醫生) and went to Gaza on July 9, 2023 to perform the task of optimizing the local emergency system.
From his arrival in Gaza in early July to his departure in early November, Dr. Hong witnessed the changes before and after the conflict. After returning to Taiwan, he adhered to one of the purposes of MSF - to witness and speak out, hoping to report what he saw on the front line.
