Taiwanese Dominate Tokyo New Mansion Purchases

62% of Tokyo new mansion buyers Taiwanese. 62% (192 cases) of the 308 overseas acquisitions in Tokyo’s 23 wards were by Taiwanese, far surpassing those from China (63 cases) and the United States (43 cases).

This trend is attributed to Taiwanese individuals, feeling security concerns amid heightened military threats from China, seizing the opportunity presented by the weak yen to invest in Japanese real estate.

I think also partially attributable to Taiwan government second/third/additional home ownership regulations changes.

So they go to Japan after Japan said they would intervene

They maxed out the market in Taiwan , onto Japan next.

It’s no use having a house to escape to in Japan if you can’t get there. This isn’t going to be a Ukraine situation where you can just walk across the border.

No problem, now how about selling off their properties here too, at a low price? Sounds good to me.
