Yesterday, had American girl on business here after the meeting outside saying out bye-bye’s (giving her directions and tips where to eat and walk to her hotel). She gave us (me and local co worker) big hugs. Got comment from Taiwanese co worker about this (being different) so I can understand others asking about Taiwanese body language. Non Taiwanese (me) can get more leeway in this such as pat on the shoulder, where as a local as mentioned is mostly a no no.
