Einführung des „e-Gate“ für Ausländer zum 01. September 2012
Die National Immigration Agency (NIA) informierte, dass ab 01. September auch in Taiwan ansässige Ausländer an dem automatisierte Ein- und Ausreisesystem „e-Gate“ teilnehmen können. Berechtigt zur Teilnahme sind alle Inhaber einer ARC-Karte, die mindest. 14 Jahre alt sind.
„e-Gates“ wurden an den Flughäfen Taoyuan, Taipei-Songshang und Kaohsiung sowie am Seehafen Kinmen installiert.
Zur Teilnahme am „e-Gate“ kann man sich bei den folgenden Servicepunkten anmelden:

Öffnungszeiten: 8:00-17:00 Uhr
2. immigration arrival and departure halls at Taipei airport
Öffnungszeiten: 8:30 -17:00 Uhr
3. immigration arrival and departure halls at Taoyuan airport, Terminal 2.
Öffnungszeiten: 10:00 -22:00 Uhr (Ankunft) und 7:00 – 22:00 Uhr (Abflug)
4. immigration arrival and departure halls at Kaohsiung airport
Öffnungszeiten: 8:00 - 17:00 Uhr
5. immigration arrival and departure halls at Kinmen seaport
Öffnungszeiten: 8:00 - 17:00 Uhr
Bei der Anmeldung ist die ARC-Karte und der Reisepass vorzulegen. Vom Teilnehmer werden die Fingerabdrücke genommen. Bei Wechsel der ARC-Karte ist das Anmeldeverfahren zu wiederholen.

After successful enrollment, you will be able to use E-Gate by placing required ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate (IC card) onto the document reader at the entrance of an E-Gate. -
The entrance of the E-Gate is installed with a document reader. You need only place the required IC card or travel document onto the document reader and push it inward to the upper edge to start the reading process. -
When the reading process has finished, you will be able to enter the E-gate to verify your facial image. If you fail facial verification, you can still use your fingerprint to pass verification and clear immigration.
