Might work in some parts of “The West” - but not at all in other parts. I wouldn’t dare to leave the house in Germany without carrying some cash because many stores are still cash-only… Or you encounter a ticket-vending / parking machine that will only accept coins (no bills!) and no card either…
Still quite many differences between countries - Taiwan is probably somewhere in the middle, I’d say…
Given the lack of an English website, I would be very surprised if supporting A(P)RCs would be anywhere near the top priorities for them
