BTW, here are some of the results. I hope there wasn’t too much of a Forumosa bias:
Which newspaper do you read (recall you could make multiple selections):
Roughly 60 percent said Taipei Times
Roughly 40 percent said China Post
Roughly 20 percent said Taiwan News
The numbers for the online versions were almost exactly 2/3 the numbers for print versions.
About a third of respondents admitted they listen to ICRT.
When asked why they tuned in to ICRT or read English-language newspapers, most people said they want wanted to read about domestic political news.
About 3/4 of respondents say they subscribe to cable (which probably means they get cable, whether they pay for it or not)
About 1/4 of self-identified cable subscribers say they already have digital cable (ABC Asia Pacific, BBC, Channel News Asia, and other channels come with digital).
This last result is faaaar higher than the digital cable penetration rate in Taiwan (roughly 4 percent in the Northern region).
Just a note to point out that I edited my post above. Both winners have identified themselves to me. No need for people to worry that they tossed the email with the good news.
