Tattoo prices in Taiwan

Hi guys, any idea how much does a tattoo cost in Taiwan? Like do they charge it per hour? Or dependes on the size like 1"x1"?

Size and design are what impact the price the most, followed of course by the popularity and quality of a store.
Avoid cheap, dodgy looking places at all costs.

Plenty of artists in Taipei, this is the first studio that comes to mind.

@bc where are you based? You will wait a long time with some artists like 6-12 months on the list.
$100-$200 usd an hour is what the top guys charge. Some artists also just give you a fee if they tattoo what the specialize in, they know it’ll take 5 hours and then say alright 15k or 20k ntd.

There’s an Israeli tattoo artist I know of but he might not be available for a few years…

I’ve gotten a few tattoos in Taiwan. They all charged based on size and design. All of mine are black with no color, which might effect the pricing. I got two Chinese characters, each 1x1ish, and I think the price was 1,000NTD per character (it was a while ago and it might have been a bit more). I got another tattoo that was slightly larger. I think the price was around 1,500-2,000NTD. In my opinion, the second artist was much better. Very professional and well run shop. It’s called Rock Ink Tattoo Shop.
