I left Taiwan and filed my tax before I left. The office did the calculation and it turned out they owed me $8K in overpaid tax. My friend has picked up the cheque for me in my name. Since I now live in Australia, what do I have to do to get the cheque processed?
He has been told that I need to sign the back along with my fiancee and then deposit it back into her Taiwan bank account. Is there a simpler way to do this without having to send the cheque to Australia and then back to the bank in Taiwan after we have signed it?
