I heard that taxes are due like sometime in May, but was wondering if anyone had more information? Like when exactly is the deadline, how do you file, etc? Is it an annoying and tedious process like the U.S?

I don’t know much, but it’s simple enough if you’ve got a Taiwan ID number: You can do it all from your computer - download a small application, plug in the values, it does the rest. Ask around your company - they may give you a copy or tell you where to download it from.
And it needs to be done this month.
