Teaching job agent

Are the only agents/agencies that help you get a teaching job in this country Bryan Wu, Bryan Wu, and Bryan Wu (esljobtaiwan?) Surely there are some other agents besides him?

Yeah there is one other female agent but I forgot her name. There are basically two. Boses just use them to flush out those they don’t want to interview based on certain ideals.

I think it’s @Jessicalin1

That Jessica Lin is also esljobtaiwan. When you email her- I think she is maybe just the person who posts the adverts for Bryan Wu- Bryan Wu responds.

Agents were much more common before social media. Nowadays some of those companies may want to avoid appearing discriminatory , so an agent is the one who “Selects” for them. You’d be better off walking into those schools and handing in your resume. Or simply emailing direct.

Are you not making any progress with any of the three Bryan Wus?

Seems lucrative as heck. Somebody should start competing with him.

I’ve thought about it. It would require a lot of groundwork connecting to the schools. They schools pay the agents. I’m sure they keep the details very close to their chest. I would think the schools approach him rather than he approaches the schools. Or else he just waits for the adverts on FB and contacts the schools.

There is definitely need for another agent if not several.

Come across like they could be two faced or something

Oh I love a good Bryan Wu thread. That dude is more infamous than tattoo-face amongst the expat crowd.
