Temporary Tooth Repair OTC

Anyone used in Taiwan any type of OTC (over the counter) temporary tooth repair like Dentemp for cracked tooth, loose or lost filling, cracked tooth, etc.?

Could be useful for protection, pain relief, mental stress relief, etc. if not able to reach dentist for a few days.

What brands are available in Taiwan?

Like Dentemp for example Dentemp Loose Cap & Lost Filling Repair | Dentemp Oral Care

I’ve tried that recently and lasted 2 days. Like putting chalky paste into the lost filling hole.
Thankfully real filling in now.

Ooooo… I saw someone recently up close with tooth broken and some kind of chalky paste on one side of their back teeth (not binlang). So guess it’s not really some type of hard substance. Didn’t look pretty when they were talking and could see some chalkiness on the side.

Hard to imagine a scenario in Taiwan where someone wouldn’t be able to reach a dentist for a few days. I mean, dental clinics are like 7-11s here.

Yea, dentists are everywhere in Taiwan.

I cracked a rear tooth recently on a weekend out of town. It started hurting. I stopped at a 24 hour pharmacy and picked up some lydocaine and ibuprofen to hold me over until back at home to use a dentist I like and do it on my own schedule over the next fews days.

The lydocaine helped wonders but wondered about using some type of temporary covering for the tooth for a few days.

This actually makes sense, but I’d still prefer to go to the nearest clinic and have them put in a temporary filling. I’d just trust a dentist more than I’d trust myself, and it might actually be cheaper. If I were in the U.S., all bets are off.

I agree with this. Just go to a dentist. The problem with “do it yourself” sealants is that a loose filling or cracked tooth could have bacterial growth or the beginning of a cavity under/inside the damaged area. Covering it up could lead to more trouble. I’d rather have a dentist do it right the first time!
