Hello all!

I’m looking for stringing services for tennis rackets here in Taipei. I would also like to know the price range. Any recommendations? Preferably around Wanlong/Guting or Taipei Main Station area.

Plenty of places around. Not in Taipei so not sure. In a pinch you can get it done at a Decathlon store. Though quality will be rubbish.

Throughout the years I’ve always used 文瑞體育用品有限公司 near Ximen. They used to have a 2nd location in Gongguan but closed that down ~3-4 years ago. Nice selection, good service, never once had a issue.

There used to be mobile stringers outside the Neihu courts. Anyone know if they still turn up?

In the WanLong to GongGuan area, MST is the place to go. Top notch stringing quality (you can tell from different shops), and good customer service. $250 per racquet if you bring your own string. Not sure about prices if you buy from them. Large selection of strings, racquets, accessories, and shoes.

The aforementioned 文瑞體育用品有限公司 is also very good, but since I live and work in southern Taipei, I rarely use their services. When I did get a racket strung there, it was on the upper echelon of quality compared to other places I’ve tried. I’ve forgotten their per-racquet stringing prices.

Other areas in GongGuan are hit and miss.
耀馬體育用品 has local laoban vibes, terse if you have any questions. Also priced higher than others for stringing. Go if you’re used to local laoban interactions.

龍騰虎躍有限公司 is okay. $250 per string (if you bring your own, a better deal if you use one of their strings. Limited selection of Yonex and Solinco) Same price as MST, but I have a 16x19 pattern racket with unique tie-off/pattern that they don’t really pay attention to, which means string overlaps on the outside of the frame. Not a significant issue, but the lack of attention to detail has made me go to MST for stringing now.
