Looking for Thai Massage. I used to live in Xindian where there are more Thai Massage places than 7-11’s. Moved to Shilin/Neihu and can’t find one yet. Or, something on the North-South MRT line would work. Anybody seen one?
Disclaimer: there are other threads about massage but they seem old and lack results.
Meant to post this earlier but just got a card from the place. This one opened a couple of months ago and are offering a special: 2 hour massage for NT$999. About a ten minute walk from the Shandou Temple MRT Station. Located on Chang-An East Rd near it’s intersection with Xinghseng Rd.:
Thaiflower Massage Club
93 Chang-An East Rd., Sec 1
中山區長安店已於日前開幕地址:長安東路1段93號預約電話:2542-2800
There’s a fantastic Thai massage place in Neihu/Dazhi on Mingshui Rd, near BeiAn Lane 608.
Tried it yesterday while suffering from a bad back.
NT$1,350 for a two hour traditional massage. Professional, thorough, clean, excellent.
Didn’t know how long the massage was going to be when I walked in; didn’t care; back was so bad, I was desperate.
It was good, and it went on and on.
At one point, I thought, “There has to be a mistake. This is going to cost NT$3,500 or more. Not that I care: it’s worth it.” Nope: NT$1,350. Everything you’d want from a legitimate Thai massage, save for the beach and the big happy finish.
I am definitely going to make that a regular thing.
A new one, half a block from ZhiShan MRT. Take the new North exit, go West half a block on Dexing W. Rd., its on the left, just past the 7-11. They’re currently also running the 999NT (regular, not oil massage) special that most places have been for the last couple of years.
Leho Tai 2834 -1050, 100 Dexing W. Rd., Shilin District. (near TES and near eWhat cameras; other side of the tracks from Sogo and Carrefour)

I just moved to Xindian and I am looking for a massage place to treat myself. There’s one right down my building (The RT Mart near Xindian MRT station) that goes for 1000 for 2 hours, but I don’t know if it’s legit, nice or not.
They almost all charge 1000 for 2 hours, and they’re all legit. Some have nicer decor. Some have better masseuses.
There are 6 MRT stops in Xindian. I don’t know about the others, but Dapinglin has 3 or 4 within, well a moderate walk. If you head west on Minchuan, then turn left on Jianguo, there’s one there. Nice decor, above average skill, a bit more expensive. If you get their phone number could you post them into this thread.
If you head west on Minchuan, go even further to where it dead ends on Zhongzheng, turn left, go past the pet store, before you hit the 3C there’s one on the left that is skilled and inexpensive but not much for decor. 2218-9797.
In Xindian you can find a really good one just around the corner from the RT Mart on BeiXin Road. Just walk across the bridge from the RT Mart to BeiXin and then turn left. Its about five or six shops up (past a few Hot Pot places and a booze shop). The sign is purple and they have a nice open front room with a big TV and a worker always watching TV. The massages are great, but my girlfriend and I use them as much as we can. They have 2 hours for $1000 or oil for $1500, but they usually ask if you want your back done with oil with the Thai massage for the same price.
They have deals once in a while… right now I think if you go before 5pm it’s $799. Last time it was before 7pm, but they changed it. They are better than some of the others around here. The number is 02-29173587.

OMG, this is the place I went to. But my experience wasn’t great. I really really did not enjoy or was comfortable with the Thai lady that was massaging me. She kept talking, asking private questions and giving me “advice on how to get men”. It seriously ruined the whole thing for me. Is she the only one, or is there more than one?
If you went to the same place as me, they have a bunch of workers. I have had a few of the different girls there, but I did find one that I like, even if she complains that massaging me is like working with an elephant. They have no way (that I know of) where you can choose the worker unless you know their name, but I never had a problem with them. Maybe it’s all about who you have.
There is another Thai massage place on the opposite side of BeiXin Road, about 8-9 shops from the intersection at the bridge to RT Mart (heading towards the Bitan Bridge area). Their shop front is on my street (GuongMing St), but you can enter from the other side. Again, they have a deep purple sign and have deals as well. I used them once and had a good massage there as well.
Just a warning, there is a Vietnamese Massage place in an alleyway on GuongMing Street as well, but from the looks of the woman who runs it I don’t think she really caters much to female clients. I’ve gone by a few times, and when I stopped to just look at her prices she literally tried to pull me into the shop, but she had a hard time in such a little dress and heels. I’d stick with the purple sign shops… not as scary!
If you want to try out some others, I’m always game. There are some near here, but you would have to drive a few minutes to get to them.
Any Thai massage places up north near the Metro? There was one near ZhiShan but now its interior is getting bulldozed. Similarly for one near MingDe MRT. They both closed suddenly, a week apart.
My experience is the masseuses have a number, and you can try to request your favorite number. My experience also is, they talk a lot, I don’t mind amongt themselves in Thai (sprinkled with the word farang = foreigner) but they talk to me a lot too. I suppose my Chinese has improved but I prefer silent. The music isn’t ideal either. But overall its the cheapest massage this side of Thailand so I’m not complaining.
Found a couple near enough to ShiPai Metro. I simply asked a couple taxi drivers loitering outside. Figured they’d know the area. From the Metro station, exit north. Turn left (west) onto Shipai Rd. Once you get past the high school (on your right), turn left (south) on Zhiyu Nyi Rd. There’s one on the right a couple blocks down #121 2821-3817. And if you keep going another several blocks there’s another. This seems to be a chain of 3. Its like NT$999 or 1100 for the basic 2 hour massage. Not the best massage I’ve had but I’ve only been one time. No happy ending at these places jesus80, but again try asking the taxi drivers if that’s what you’re seeking…
