The Biden Presidency

So? It’s too broad to mean anything important.

What, that both perceive themselves to be at war with ‘woke’ culture and indulge in conspiracy theories in order to justify their worldview? That ain’t broad. Both have imaginary fears of being cancelled by the left.

They’re both good soldiers in the war against woke. Efficient, excellent job of marketing by the GOP. Have you seen this?

Why Attacking ‘Cancel Culture’ And ‘Woke’ People Is Becoming The GOP’s New Political Strategy | FiveThirtyEight

Good write up in 538 about why attacks on woke and cancel culture are the new GOP political strategy.

I believe @McNulty and I are on the same team regarding Jewish Space Lasers. I see as much foolishness in Jewish Space Lasers as I see in wokeness. So, I am as much on the same team as McNulty as I am with MTG. Also, and very importantly, I distance myself equally from their foolishnesses. The horseshoe has been brought up before, it isn’t perfect but if you can’t understand a simple picture I’m not sure what options are left to me…

edit: and my disclaimer for the thread, I am pro Biden (not particularly so, but given the alternative), which I think makes me far from a kindred spirit of MTG

Hold on, how did that come in?

Sometimes @TT answers these things for me. Just see above quote. He’s laid it out there for us, plain as day.

Sorry, what? Has TT pushed a conspiracy theory somewhere? I don’t see it.

Some self-reflection as to why you and MTG both perceive yourselves similarly as being at war with ‘wokeness’ and see yourselves as victims of ‘left wing cancel culture’ would be a good start.

@TT Are you not a good soldier at war with woke culture? Are you not constantly complaining you’re a victim of left wing cancel culture and identity politics?

You and MJT sittin in a Tree, c-o-n-s-piracy-i-n-g

I am a victim! Of your twilight zone posting @McNulty  It is rather conspiratorial.

One floats conspiracy theories of Jewish space lasers. The other floats conspiracy theories a woke zombie takeover of academia by far left progressive socialists. Both live in terrified fear of left wing cancel culture. You asked for overlap, you got it.

Demonstrable similarities in world view. I’d bet the farm their views on CRT are almost identical as well. Maybe I’ll call her office to confirm this and get a quote.

Ooooooookay

I’m doing great!
Does it bother you that you share a lot in common with MTG ideology wise? I’d be bothered by it.

Lots of overlap in articles above.

I’d be upset if my thought processes were riddled with logical fallacies:

Guilt by association as an ad hominem fallacy

Guilt by association can sometimes also be a type of ad hominem fallacy, if the argument attacks a person because of the similarity between the views of someone making an argument and other proponents of the argument.

This form of the argument is as follows:

  • Group A makes a particular claim.
  • Group B, which is currently viewed negatively by the recipient, makes the same claim as Group A.
  • Therefore, Group A is viewed by the recipient of the claim as associated with Group B, and inherits how negatively viewed it is.

Not guilt by association. I don’t care who he associates with. They share similar ideas towards wokeness and progressives, as well as cancel culture. I’ve shown that above.

Then you cannot be @McNulty.

And again, to return to the thread topic, I am pro Biden rather than pro MTG. Or,

if that is your preference

edit: the MJT memes are surprisingly on point

Excuse the typo.

You’re pro-Biden on some issues, but certainly not when it comes to attacks on ‘wokeness’, ‘woke culture’, and your fear of far left wing cancel culture. That is why I used the term ‘overlap’. Some of your views overlap with hers, especially on culture war issues. Why even argue it? it’s very clear.

lol

Why even say it is the question. Any two people will almost certainly have overlap on some beliefs or positions.
