I believe if not in attack dog mode, @Mr_PBH probably has some pretty decent suggestions to help bridge the racial divide in the U.S. I can sense he is passionate about his ideals and beliefs and that’s a good start.

Hell someone here mentioned they take in some lefty material to balance it out, I asked in the simplest, politest way what it was (several times) got the runaround and eventually they got angry with me. They also seemed intent on telling me what materials I take in, without stopping to ask.
Personally when I engage on a basic inquiry like that, and they aren’t willing to answer, that tells me a lot about how they will deal with the rest of a debate or conversation, at some point down the line. Not to be bothered with or taken seriously, imo.
