on a serious note, it has always been speculated in at least some circles that Charles would be King but not for long as Queen E herself was abnormally long on the throne, refusing to give it up (as is tradition mind you) till she died . As Monarchs are actually supposed to do. But all those years on the throne meant ol Charlie couldn’t be King for long. I think he is aware (especially since he has cancer) and is handling things best he can.

p.s. it is said that he is recovering nicely from his cancer and is planning to reduce treatment. This can be seen in a positive light or alternatively his cancer is past treatment, let’s hope not. Charles seems a good bloke, don’t much fancy Camilla tho (the wicked witch as whispered by some, shouted even).
