The article fits into a larger pattern of malfeasance in the Times’ Russiagate coverage, which RCI has documented and the Columbia Journalism Review recently highlighted at length. RCI found, among other shortcomings, a failure to correct clear errors, the use of misleading language to minimize and sanitize the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory, and the refusal to acknowledge broader missteps, especially those involving anonymous sources who turned out to be deceitful.
In an affidavit the former Treasury official, Thomas Sullivan, described his sit-down interview with Jim Biden about being hired to negotiate with the Saudis.
Sullivan claimed the President’s brother told him: ‘Of course, the [Biden] name didn’t hurt’, and Jim’s wife Sara, who was present, allegedly said that Joe and his brother ‘told each other everything.’
'[Biden] stated that he was often sent to meetings to represent Hill because ‘of course, the name didn’t hurt,’ and he was the former Vice-President’s brother, or words to that effect. He repeated this statement at least twice during the interview.
‘I asked specifically if he had attended a meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Trade in mid-February 2012 to receive the final payment for the work Hill had performed. He answered that, to the best of his memory, he had been at such a meeting, and that the reason he had attended was “because of his position and relationship” with his brother.’

The school’s special collections wing boasts “more than 1,850 boxes of archival records from the President’s Senate career” donated back in 2012 but notes on its site that it has barred public access to the papers until “they have been properly processed and archived.”
And that is a quote from way back. I bet none of the processing and sorting has been done, save for what the FBI just did. What did they take if not classified stuff? hmmm

Luft said he met with FBI and DOJ investigators in 2019 and gave them incriminating information on Hunter, but they did not pursue the leads he gave them. His lawyers recently told DOJ he plans to submit a letter to Congress detailing statements he made in that interview.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer tells FOX News what he has learned in the two months since he got subpoena power to investigate the president’s son Hunter’s international business dealings.
"We don’t find any evidence that they ever took the money and invested it in a company. People always talk about, ‘Well, Hunter Biden had legitimate business dealings with China.’ What were those business dealings? All we find are payments from the CCP to shell companies then funneled back into the Biden family. We don’t see any business.
Or just monkey business.
It was a business and its service was influence.

House Oversight Committee James Comer (R., Ky.) on Friday sent a letter to Biden family associate Rob Walker asking him to participate in a transcribed interview with Committee staff, one day after subpoenaed bank records revealed Walker doled out more than a $1 million to Biden family members after receiving a $3 million payout from a Chinese energy company.
“Rob Walker is a key witness in our investigation of President Biden’s involvement in his family’s business schemes,” Comer said in a statement on Friday. “After receiving a $3 million dollar payout from a Chinese energy company two months after Vice President Biden left office, Rob Walker then sent over a million dollars in incremental payments to Biden family accounts and a similar amount to another Biden family associate.”
He added: “These records reveal that the three parties likely all received a third of the money from China and it is unclear what services were provided in return.”
Comer noted Rob Walker, in speaking about his dealings with the Bidens, once said that exposing him would “bury all of us, man.”

However, Biden denied that the payments were made when confronted by a reporter on the White House lawn Friday.
“That’s not true,” the president said, when asked about the GOP lawmakers’ findings.
But, and this is a very big but:
The records revealed that on March 1, 2017, less than two months after then-Vice President Joe Biden left office, State Energy HK Limited, a separate Chinese company, wired $3 million to Robinson Walker, LLC.
“The next day, Robinson Walker, LLC wired $1,065,000 to European Energy and Infrastructure Group in Abu Dhabi, a company associated with James Gilliar,” a memo from the committee states.
Gilliar was a business partner of Hunter Biden involved in his foreign business ventures.
“After the Robinson Walker, LLC account received $3 million from State Energy HK Limited, Biden family members and their companies began receiving incremental payments over a period of approximately three months,” the memo states. "The recipients of the money included Hallie Biden, companies associated with Hunter Biden and James Biden, and an unknown bank account identified as ‘Biden.’"
Hmm, now which Biden could that be? The Hunter/Stripper offspring?
