Lawrence Eyton! No wonder. He used to be the Economist’s man in Taiwan.
The position of the PFP, a party of shady KMT renegades with even financial backing from even shadier tycoons based in central Taiwan, was no better.
Love it. Like to hear more about that angle.
Don’t know about his conclusions though. Dissatisfaction with the economy? Yes. With the government? Yes. With the democratic system of elections being used? Don’t see it.
