The new index page

search.php?search_id=newposts

Annoying, intrusive and a PIA…no matter how the wankers try to spinn it.
How about adding pastel colors and mando-pop?
Will that appeal to the target demographic?

Nice. Real class. :unamused:

Just make the column thinner. A side column should be no wider than 200-250 px.

At the moment, the ads being used on the index page are not designed for column ads. Use column width ads for your columns instead of trying fit the square peg in the round hole.

And put the sledge-hammer away. It’s not useful for web design.

Agreed, I can put up with it being there since it’s evidently all that’s keeping the good ship Flob afloat, but the width is just way, way, over the top. Surely side bar ads for side bars is the course of reason, not shoehorning page break ads into a bloated and intrusive eyesore of a mega side bar.

Yeah Gus and Anthony would like that!!!

Same here.

More annoying than having your account debited every month to pay your subscription?[/quote]

Actually, yes.

What? You have something against pastel colors and mando-pop?

Just because you have a debonair wardrobe and impeccable cultural discernment, I do not look to you as my barometer of “class.” Its such a temporal and elusive status. Subject to the whims and fancies of those who would be arbiters for the unwashed masses.
Well, except for wardrobe. Thats pretty well universally defined.

OK. Now that we have this “class” thing covered…How about getting those obnoxious adds on the ‘index’ page sorted out?
Surely a more professional and discreet layout can be devised?
