Biden can’t drop out before being officially nominated at the convention if he wanted Harris to get the funds from the DNC. So he will go from presumptive nominee to the nominee.
I didn’t know Meta had A and B shared, shows he is smarter than I thought. To get investors to invest like this in money without power in the early days shows how strong his product was and how good he was in negotiations A and B shares are a common way for company control in some countries, nothing unique
Still doesn’t change my views. Being active on e.g. Facebook is an individual choice as there are alternatives.
It’s a different view and I can see and understand the view, nothing wrong with it. But just in my views, the ownership of something ranks higher as there are no restrictions on others to create a competing product.
And as was pointed out above, actually Zuckerberg owns 90% of B shares so he have full control of the company so should be his decision as long as he doesn’t hurt others
I liked you guys’ posts, but I couldn’t “like” them,* so I’ll just say that I agree with the two posts more than I disagree with them.
In short, though, the Democrats have problems. So do the Republicans, and the Republicans may lose in November, but right now being a Democrat looks like it might be–well, unpleasant.
I’m not judging the Democrats, though. I’ve made lots of mistakes in my life. It looks like they’re in a situation in which any option they choose is likely to be painful. I’m not gloating. When I was young, I was a Democrat.
@tempogain, I tinkered with my post after you clicked “like,” so if you remove your “like” I’ll understand.
This can go different ways, depending on what the investigation will reveal. Most likely, Trump will get more sympathy votes now, and it will be more difficult to attack him.
Btw., the crowd in Pennsylvania was huge, quite impressive. That’s more of an issue for the Democrats, people seem to be excited to vote for Trump. No one is excited to vote for Biden. You have to give people a reason for going to the polls.
I now wonder, what does that mean for the chances of Biden stepping down? On the one side no one will be talking about his mental decline for a while, cause all attention is now on the assassination attempt. So he will be able to fly under the radar for a few days. On the other hand, the Democrats are in an even deeper hole now, so replacing him is even more urgent. Unless, of course, they realize they won’t be able to win anyway, and just concede defeat.
