Also released on Truth Social, I hear.

He’s got a wife of South Asian background.
Who is JD Vance’s wife Usha? Meet the Ivy-League educated lawyer behind Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick | Daily Mail Online

A good sign, especially for RFK Jr. Kudos to President Biden for (finally) seeing the light.

Thank goodness. Biden made the right decision. These types of things have a way to encourage other psychos.

Now let him debate. People need to be able to hear what he has to say.

Is Biden directly responsible for this? He shouldn’t be.

With JD Vance on the ticket, the Trump campaign looks rock solid. Much better than if he had picked Marco Rubio. But I feel Trump runs the risk of losing a bit of the spotlight with Vance around. This is not Mike Pence who you can put in a corner and keep quiet.

Articulate, smart, sense of humor, “normal” compared to a lot of Republican nutcases, including Donald. He might have a bright future. [Great story teller too, watched the whole 20min.]

The immigration issue might be hotly discussed topic at home with his wife, daughter of Indian immigrants, though.

So Vance has changed his tune a bit.

Looks south Asian

Doesn’t matter some will call him a white supremacist like Democrat Cory Bush has.

Parents from India, same as Nicki Haley.
Usha Vance, the wife of Ohio Sen. JD Vance was thrust into the national spotlight after former President Donald Trump chose her husband as his running mate Monday.

Usha Vance, née Chilukuri, born in 1986, was raised in San Diego, California, and attended Yale Law School, where she met the future Ohio senator, according to a report from the New York Times.

“We were friends, and I liked that he was very diligent,” she told NBC News about how she met her husband in a 2017 interview. “He would show up at 9 a.m. appointments that I would set up for us to start working on the brief together.”

Before law school, Vance received a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale and a master’s in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.

The pair married in 2014 and have three children together: sons, Ewan, 6, and Vivek, 4, and a daughter, Mirabel, 2.

You should google the difference between “south asia” and “southeast asia”. They are actually 2 different places.

Elon Musk is now donating US$45 million a month to republican pacs

He seems like a man who is willing to flip flop to get into a position of power. Not unusual in the world of politics. Trump loves these spineless types and despises them at the same time. I predict a rocky relationship between the two, cause they will clash as soon as Vance makes the mistake of becoming too prominent, although as a VP there might be less opportunities to do so.

That incorrect use of the word “cause” makes me cringe.

It’s “because”, not “cause”. The English language is slowly being destroyed.

Sorry, just the grammar police in me trying hard to resist, but can’t. Carry on.

That’ll be a good thing.

Hillbilly Elegy was a good book. Vance may be spineless but that is a tactic any Republican has to take in the age of Trump. Look at the fate of Liz Cheney - either kiss the Don’s ass or get ridden out of politics as a heretic.

I think Vance might make a decent President, certainly a better option than Trump. If I were more conspiracy minded I might suggest that Trump waited until a week before the convention to name his running mate to avoid a Biden scenario - the party edging him out in favor of a younger, more sane, intelligent, and electable candidate than himself.

Well said Vivek.

Totally fine in casual conversations, l believe. We are not writing essays here, ain’t we? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Add an ’ and I would agree.
'cause
but coz or cuz are more acceptable

I wish I knew German as well as @hannes knows English:

I took German in, I guess, grades 9-12, but I only remember a handful of words.
