After the update Because of server issues, I kept seeing these generic avatars on the board:
My avatar wasn’t affected by the update server issues, but I got curious about those generic ones, and for reasons that I would probably have no hope of fully discovering without undergoing some expensive psychoanalysis, I just started piddling around with a possible way of decorating one.
I found some images online, including the earth, the moon, and the night sky, and after some disorganized tinkering involving IrfanView, Microsoft Paint, and GIMP 2, I wound up, for better or for worse, with my current avatar.
