Even our good kids are pulling high Cs in Math and Science Regents exams.
So what do you put it down to?
Teachers are more qualified/educated than ever, but standards are going down.
I was going to say this should go in the humbug thread but standards have been declining for a good while.
Social media? Too many distractions? One parent households?
Horrific covid protocols pushed all those other things you listed over the brink. These kids now days don’t. Want. To. Learn. They need to get back to nature. Literally. They live indoors.

The school is also partly publicly funded from my understanding. Although they do take students that are low performing, maybe we need to face the reality that some children are better off learning skills that match their abilities instead of typical schooling.
Seems like ego-overreach. I’ve yet to see a single celebrity school fulfill its promises.
