The show that most accurately depicts foreigner life in Taiwan

…is Lost.

A bunch of strangers in a strange and inexplicable environment where it’s hard to escape? It’s perfect.

“it ain’t half hot mum”

well Pingtung anyway

Aliens

we’re all John Locke here

Death Race 2000

Is a movie, if that’s ok

Death Race 2025

Well there are some movies.

I haven’t seen this one.

Gus produce one didn’t he. Pretty good.

And there’s the one called The Taiwan Oyster set on the East coast, I really liked that one, really captured the feeling of the place in some of the scenes especially in the way a foreigner might feel slightly disconnected but still connect with the nature around them.

Both the first and third ones were directed by former English teachers in Taiwan.

Haven’t seen “Sun Moon”, but I’ve watched the other two.
Taiwan Oyster is memorable. Pinoy Sunday not so much.

Very easy to leave, in fact the authorities will help you on your way if you complain loud enough!

Movie? Strange Brew!

Considering that most expat social life revolves around bars (and Taiwan drafts a lot of American baseball talent who like to hang out there, like Steve with his Willy’s in Tainan).

…Game of Srones

(Sron , pronounced srone, means nose in Irish .. ehhh never mind  ).

That would be an amazing cross-over/mashup! :raising_hands::partying_face:
