And it got it right! Which app is that pray tell.
Forecast Bar. Hey, I’m as surprised as anyone it was right! It’s often wrong.
I pay some kind of subscription for it, but will probably cancel because now they’ve introduced different levels of subscriptions, and the one I’m currently at doesn’t include widgets, so F that.
Heads up!
Guy
I saw a child in Taipei wearing a ski jacket and a beanie with ear flaps yesterday.
I do ear muffs/ear flaps when it gets to 8 degrees. In the office.
I think being impervious to the cold is part of the ‘white person stereotype’ here, judging by the amount of comments I get. And I’m a wimp, I have the jumper on when it goes below I don’t know, 20.
Aw fer gawd’s sake. A wee bit of cooler weather and the whinging starts, most of the year yer sweating like a glass blower’s arse, so it makes a nice change.
I was on Facebook complaining about the freezing cold a few years back. When my cousin in Canada asked me how cold it was, I had to sheepishly admit 12 degrees Celsius. She laughed.
. . . which seems to feel something like -5 degrees in Canada.
The humidity in Taiwan (at least in the north) makes these numbers something of a joke!
Guy
We’ll be laughing at them when and if they visit and it’s 12C, 100% humidity and no heat!
What the actual fuck? It’s going to rain for the rest of the year innit.
This is some bullshit.
I was actually forced to take a public bus to work. Oh, the humanity. ![]()
Sun next weekend in the extended forecast. We’ll see. Stay indoors. Get a nice bottle of whisky.

Cue something dreary, I dunno, The Cure - Disintegration. Make another cup of tea.
That’s all I’ve got for you really…
As per the forecast, yep.
To put in into perspective: here in Taipei we have received 4 hours of sunshine from December 1st to December 15th.
So take your vitamin d.
What we need is folks who live down South to let us know -with pictures as evidence- when it is sunny there…so we can flee.
