Now the federal government says it has authoritative statistics, documenting that men are far more likely to play the field than women.

A new nationwide survey, using high-tech methods to solicit candid answers on sexual activity and illegal drug use, finds that 29 percent of American men report having 15 or more female sexual partners in a lifetime, while only 9 percent of women report having sex with 15 or more men.

This makes no sense.
Men have more sex than women? Who are the men having sex with? Oboe’s? Generally when a men has sex it is with a woman. Making her equally part of the sex act. Therefore, with the exception of gay relations, globally men and women have just as much sex as each other. (Unless I am missing something…)

yep, you’re missing something… it is perfectly possible that guys have, in general, more partners that girls. One option is that a small percentage of girls has sex with a huge number of guys while the remaining percentage has sex with only few men. So that survey can reveal 3 things: either guys are boastful, either girls are liars, or that there are a small number of girls having sex with tons of guys … (not a great discovery …)

I hate it when people quote statistics and try to use it as a viable source of information.

If 29% of American men have had more than 15 female partners in a LIFETIME then that means that 71% of American men have not.

So how many men did those 29% have in their lifetime? How many sheep? How many blow up dolls?

If you’re gonna follow polls, at least let them be interesting ones. We already knew men are dogs…

Oh snap :slight_smile: Do the numbers mean that the men are more picky? They double check more before tying the knot? Good for you guys - marriage is not a joke, always check, and then check again, and if you are still not sure, just check even more…
