Did anyone hear about the dust storm that was upon us yesterday? I only found out about it on TV after the brunt of it passed by. Sure enough, there was a coat of black dust on my motorcycle this morning. I’m glad I went for a leisurely hike instead of playing a vigorous game of ultimate frisbee in that air this past weekend. Anyone know where we can get the forecaste of an appoaching dust storm?
Actually, they were issuing warnings about it on the TV and radio news well in advance of its arrival, so I was well prepared for it when it came (and it turned out not to be as bad as forecast).
The good news is that its effect will be fading away this afternoon, though they’ll be getting more of it down south. The bad news is that another one’s due to reach us tomorrow.
