The Welcome Back Bree thread

@Bree if I read the signs correctly in the gold card thread and other places… you are back in Taiwan since very recently?

If so: Welcome back!
If not yet: See you soon!

Or if she’s about to leave: Bon voyage!

I have an office in Austin Texas. Periodically I come here for tax season to remind my domestic clients that I’m a human. I return to my home in tpe in a few days. I’m REALLY looking forward to being back (assuming I can jog without a mask and there isn’t yellow tape blocking off trailheads).
Mini-Bree is joining me this year! She’s in on a student visa . If you have a favorite meditation retreat, she’d like to know what and where, but she doesn’t speak mandarin.
Thanks for the welcome :upside_down_face:

I often like to go to Daxi where they have restored their Japanese houses. It’s often a quiet tourist spot, lots of cafes and places to sit for a quiet afternoon.

Tao710 Bus from MRT Yongning Station all the way to the end.

Nighttime is especially serene.

I’ve never spent any time in that area. Thanks for the recommendation.

No probs! The Cheng government has really stepped up its restoration game. Dasi was practically rotting under the KMT’s rule.

I particularly enjoy Focal Point Afternoon Tea and Coffee

This is the opposite of a hipster coffee shop.

Very unique.
