In eight appearances since, seven of them starts,
Wang has proven to be one of the most consistent
Yankees starters – allowing more than three runs
only twice.

Yankee manager Joe Torre on Wang: “This kid has been
a bonus. We knew he was someone we’d go to if we
had a breakdown, but I don’t think anybody could
have envisioned him pitching as well as he’s pitched.”

Yankee pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre on Wang: “I
think he’s very sure of himself now. His confidence
level is at a peak. Even after his last game [June
10 against the Cardinals] where he wasn’t real happy
with the way he pitched, I think he knows he belongs
here now. He certainly has the stuff and he hasn’t
let anything bother him. I think he’s got a great
future ahead of him.”
F&*&K The Yankees. Die Hard Cubs fan here So we didn’t make it this year. But as for Wang, passing fad, as the best ballplayers from Asia, IMO, come from Japan.
I feel the same way about the fucking Lakers. :fume:
august 20th in Boston, vs the Yanks, in the stands above the green monster, look for me and jdson. I’ll be the guy wearing the yankees hat, most likely covered in my own blood.
Not a Yanks fan, or a Yanks hater, but Taiwan ought to be awfully proud of this guy.
He’s been the NYY’s number 3 guy in the rotation all year, stayed relatively healthy, and outshone some of the other starting pitchers they tried like Chacon, Small, Ponson, Wright, among others. Pretty impressive.

Just make sure you don’t have an accident and trip over the wall, it’s a long fall
