I’m having a hard time tracking down this movie from an online retailer – 滾滾紅塵 (1990). I found a mainland website selling really cheap DVD copies of this movie but I prefer the subtitles in traditional characters. If anyone knows of any website that sells older, out-of-print Taiwanese movies, please let me know. Thanks!
Do you have the pinyin for that? Or an English name?
Its English title is “Red Dust.” It was available on YESASIA.COM one year ago. The story is based on the life story of Eileen Chang, and especially focuses on the relationship between her and a traitor.
Edit: I think its production country is not Taiwan but Hong Kong.
Alas, yesasia.com no longer sells it. The pinyin for the title is Gun3gun3hong2chen2. And yes, I believe kate.lin is correct in that the English name is “Red Dust” and that it was produced in Hong Kong. I’ve always thought it a Taiwanese film due to the top two stars being from Taiwan and the fact that the movie is in Mandarin. Yesasia also sold a VCD version only. I’m wondering if a DVD version exists for this movie.
It was a very popular movie for its time and won a ton of awards. I didn’t think it would be this hard to find this movie.

there is a vcd here for sale 14.95 USD
Thanks Funk500. Unfortunately, the copy they have on sale is the mainland version which uses simplified characters.
