Maybe anybody knows the answer here:
when you want to do a hook turn on your scooter and ride into the hook turn box, should you use the right turn indicator or none at all?
I can’t find anything online and people i asked don’t know and I don’t think this was part of the scooter test.

Good question! Don’t have the official rule on it right now however from experience ~ Definitely not the right indicator or following traffic will think you are turning right and may overtake. I would do left or none at all depending on the circumstance.
You shouldn’t indicate because you are going straight to the box area. If you indicate, people may think you are turning right, or changing lanes to the left.
You’re actually not supposed to use turn signals when doing the hook turn. I only know this because it showed up for me once when doing the practice test a million times. Never saw/heard it mentioned again.

It’s interesting though that not only do many people have no idea so all three can be seen, many don’t signal because they never signal. And why bother signaling, since most don’t care much about the signals, because nobody knows how to use them! 
I often do both: briefly indicate right because after all I’m moving across traffic on the right side to get over near the box, and then left because I’m swinging left into the box. But interesting to finally find out what the rules are! Thanks @Mothproof1152!
I think the indicators I see most often are from those who turned them on in 2019 and haven’t yet got around to turning them off.
I didn’t even know it was called a hook turn. Always just 代轉 to me.

They actually give tickets for that here?! Wow! Were you driving a car or a scooter? (Or, what would absolutely shock me, a bicycle?)
Scooter. And I’ve heard other people are getting them lately too. Maybe a policy change. I’m seeing a lot more scooters indicating, usually randomly.
A new rule has been added to this hook turn rule which says “If a scooter rider intends to make a left turn and is entering the Hook Turn box, the wheels cannot touch the Zebra crossing lines otherwise the rider will be fined $1800 if reported or caught by a cop. Also, if the box is full, then one shouldn’t try to squeeze into it but instead head to the next crossing and make 2 hook turns and then take a right turn”

A lot of riders are enraged at this stupid rule considering most of the turn boxes are too small in size and are almost always located a few inches in front or behind a zebra crossing thus making it impossible not to avoid riding on the zebra crossing lines.
