TWD on the Forex Market 2020s

US is pressuring Taiwan to let NTD appreciate even more. This is very good imo since it will help with the brain drain and increase immigration appeal.

EUR:twd 33.08

…And now it’s 33.37!?

I think it will break 32 as they need to bring money back in this month.

The stock market is crashing hard. Probably the investors taking their money out of the region for a while.

Yep TSMC looks good.

Let’s spread some rumors about high level embezzlement and tax evasion first. Then buy on the dip.

Woot!

We are hitting 32.67 to 1 Euro now. As predicted. Feb often shows a strengthening Taiwan dollar.

Euro is declining already… so it’s more like Euro to USD that’s going down.

Except twd is also stronger against the USD.

Currency Charts: EUR to TWD

Anyone still remember when EUR was 48 to TWD?

I was paid in Euro back then when it was going down, and down, and down…

But now looks like a great time to be ordering stuff from the EU…

There’s no reason for NTD to depreciate back either. Growth is solid and sentiment is getting better every month. The general direction will be up and up. Especially against the Euro.

My friends and I were talking about going places this year and some brought up Mongolia so I checked some blogs. In like 2011 it used to be 1 TWD = 30 Mongolian whatever, now it’s 1 TWD = 90 Mongolian whatever. Same goes for Turkey. In 2010 1 TRY = 20 TWD, in 2020 1 TRY = 5 TWD.

These countries are a mess.

I remember when I was little 1 GBP used to be 60 TWD. The Brits must have been smug af then.

I remember it being like 64. Thats when our economy was overheating and was two dollars to a pound

You mean even more smug than usual? Not sure if possible.
