I worked with a group of Irish hospitality interns at a pub in KC. Many a time I had to let a beat pass before I comprehended what they were saying. It wasn’t always due to the Guinness. (Oh, that sounds good!) It was like someone was reading Ulysses out loud.

Once, Bobby became a doggie kite when a nasty gust of wind almost threw us out on the street, and I hung on for both of our lives to a light pole. He barked at the wind.

Some of these typhoons give me the impression that some airlines use it as an excuse to cancel less profitable flights and move everyone to another flight to maximize airplane occupancy.
