UK Telly: BBC will go broke after Trump gets money? possible?

F them since they went woke.

They are funded by the tax payer with the BS tv license so they need to uphold certain standards such as no political bias and not brainwashing our kids with woke history rewriting nonsense about how England has always had black people.

They are a joke.. although I watch a couple of their channels out here. Its pretty good compared to Taiwanese TV but if I was back home BBC wouldn’t get a look in.

It’s laughable that that is what you think happened with that edited tape.

I’m curious about why the cutoff is the last 50 years. You guys crack me up.

Well back in 1975 there was a global consensus that the news must become fake…and so it was…

:joy:

England has had black people at least going back to Shakespearean times and the Napoleonic wars. Not many, not royals or any of that Bridgerton bullshit, but they were there.

And the first Britons were probably decidedly brown although not necessarily black.

The first Britons had “dark to black” skin, blue eyes, and dark curly hair, according to a DNA analysis of Cheddar Man, the oldest complete human skeleton found in the UK. The findings suggest that lighter skin, a characteristic of modern northern Europeans, is a relatively recent phenomenon in Britain.

Not sure if there have been many updates since then ?

@Brianjones

They might go broke but first Trump will drag their name through the mud oh boy…I hope this case gets so dragged out that the BBC will beg to pay the 10 Billion.

Shameful display of propaganda for the sake of feeding the derangement syndrome addicts.

The concept of freedom of speech has existed alongside defamation laws for some time, and media outlets including public ones get done for the latter fairly regularly

Yea, it’s so bloody woke. That’s why Farage has been on question time 36 times. That’s why they tried to fire Gary Lineker for speaking out on Gaza. That’s why they have a former advisor of both Theresa May and that woke outlet GB news on the board of directors. Oh and they had some black people on a kid’s history TV show. Makes my blood boil.

Good for you that you can accept lower standards. Enjoy paying 80 quid or whatever it is now for the licence fee. And no, one kids program is not the extent of the woke propaganda.. which should be obvious if you ever watch TV in the UK. BBC aside even the adverts are like 50% black people.

I know mate it’s sick. Everyone knows that business are the worst of all. They go out of their way to be woke, even at the expense of their bottom line. Bloody coloured people in adverts? What next? Sharia law?

I’m sorry I’m not too bright. What are you saying here exactly?

Even the AI couldn’t spin how over the top this is. Yet you feel the need to say something ridiculous like "bloody ell mate theres coloured people on the telly! " to defend it.

Even though I’ve never used the word ‘coloured’ to mean a black person in my life, don’t think I’ve even heard my mum say it. Nice try I guess but thats my nans generation.

How disingenuous but to your point - 51% of ads in the UK have blacks.

Percentage of blacks in the UK is 4%

Preferential treatment much?

I’m agreeing with you mate, it’s sick. Black people over-represented in adverts in the UK? This is clearly a major issue, just thinking about all those poor little white kids with big dreams of being on TV selling insurance in the breaks between Corrie. Makes me want to go and shout at a hotel!

Well BBC could write off North America and not cover it.

Pointing out that there’s no inconsistency between believing in free speech and defending yourself from libel

Again.. gotta say good for you for having such low standards.

Not all of us appriciate woke propaganda being shoved down our throats though. Especially when its tax payers money being pissed away to support it.

“We know that black people were in Britain since Roman times - and there’s specific examples.”
The black British history you may not know about - BBC News

Yes, there were tens of thousands. They worked in the coal mines.

Some Roman auxiliary troops would have been from North Africa, so, yes of course there were black people in Roman Britain.
