Ukraine Invaded by the Russians - April to August 2022

Yesterday on BBC Hardtalk there was this crazy interview with the DUMA member lying bitch (spy) Maria Butina. Just idiocy what came out of her mouth.

Here you go, I think this is the one you are talking about.

Wow! That was incredible.

The Russians are pulling troops from Georgia. Time for Georgia to retake parts of their country.

I actually watched the interview because I heard her name before, there was a series about her and Patrick Bryne, it’s was some of the most bizarre stuff, there’s a web series called ‘Spy Affair’ a true-crime podcast from Wondery. Peter Stzock from the FBI even drops in for parts of the series.

Will definitely listen later! I’d suspect she wasn’t winging it there.

He totally destroys and humiliates her. And she knows it.

How many yachts do oligarchs need? Some have two or three. Do they collect them?
Anyways, confiscating and selling off to pay Ukraine seems to be fine.

there is some reason that the Russians have this obsession with owning yachts?

Saw a report saying yachts were just one way to spend their money overseas. My feeling is they are so damn confident of their long term money making enterprises that they have less need to worry about investing overseas. The same report said they have tons of money overseas in various offshore accounts.

If only these could be aimed at land targets as well…

I wonder what would happen if the Ukranians got their hands on one cruise missile that could be fired at Moscow?

Shaken at First, Many Russians Now Rally Behind Putin’s Invasion - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

Report says that now more Russians starting to support the invasion. Seems all the propaganda is working.

There is no way the west can expect Russian citizens to overturn their Putin led government. He will be there 20 years later. The only way to keep Putin from more invasions is to weaken Russia as much as possible economically. Russia will become like N. Korea…dangerous but isolated. Putin will still be in power but after Ukraine he knows he has absolutely no chance to push around any NATO countries and cannot keep a few other countries from joining NATO. All the focus will be on Ukraine and places like Georgia going forward.

It seems that with some types you can: Russians were doing that recently, which was interpreted as “maybe running low on standard cruise missiles”.

Nationalism will last a while but if they feel the bite over a few years that will change. Nobody should expect Russians to do the right thing. We need to keep them out of our lands and out of our democracies that’s all and support Ukraine with as much weapons and money as possible. After that I don’t give two fcks about those people who believe all kinds of crazy shit and will justify anything.
