Searching for that phrase shows a lot of sites in India… I get the feeling the meaning is more like “according to instructions/wishes of”, just a guess from the other examples. Your guess is probably better considering what intimation means.
Yes, it does. Intimation means ‘announce’, so the instructions are telling you to wire the money with the instructions to let the main branch of the British bank know that the account is at the Liverpool branch (as opposed to the Glasgow branch, for example).
