Universities in Taiwan (esp. for humanities and politics degrees)

Hi guys!

I’m planning to go to Taiwan for an exchange next year and am currently looking into universities especially the ones that are good at humanities and politics degrees. Based on my research, National Chengchi University seems to be the best in that field and that’s my first choice but since I can apply to two universities I’m looking into others as well in case I don’t get into NCCU. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks!

You could consider NTU or NTNU as well, among other choices.

Be aware, however, that since March 2020, exchange students have not been given visas to enter to Taiwan. This may well change (who knows how omicron will or will not switch things up?)—but it’s also possible you could be admitted as an exchange student but (presuming you don’t hold a Taiwan passport) not be able to physically be in Taiwan.

First of all, thanks for your input. My home university is not a partner university of NTNU so that’s not an option for me. Yes, I’ve looked into NTU as well but it seems that the living expenses are higher there in comparison to other unis (I’ve also read that as of now, they don’t provide dorms to exchange students).

Even though the situation is not the best now for exchange, I still have some hope. In the worst case scenario, I’ll choose another country or try to go next year.
