I’ve had my E.Sun account since last year and today while looking for how to configure something in the online banking, I stumbled upon a page showing I had a bunch of “unprinted passbook entries”. Does this matter?
I’ve never gone back to a physical bank branch since the day I opened my TWD & FCX accounts with them, so my passbooks are blank, basically. But obviously I’ve been using both accounts ever since then. Is this a problem?
Are you supposed to go into the bank to have them put a print record of everything you’ve done in the physical passbook? That seems so archaic, but also I don’t want to screw things up for myself before I potentially apply for my APRC in the years ahead, especially since I know you have to provide financial information when applying for the APRC.
OK, I could probably do that this week, or maybe I’ll just wait until after the new year break. How often are you normally supposed to have it updated? Like do people just go into the bank every week or every month to get their passbooks updated normally?
If you have made lots of changes like withdrawals and deposits since last time updated, they can simplify the entry by one line bulk if you are not interested in keeping the records in the book
E Sun doesn’t do this but Chinatrust will just print a couple of lines for the past x years of account activity instead of wasting pages in the passbook.
Just do whatever and let them deal with having to use 2 or 3 passbooks…
just go to the branch and update the passbook, it will take time, but that’s the silly system. I go every quarter to update usually to update my main banks passbooks.
No, walk in 5 minutes before closing time and tell them you need it today.
(I used to work in a Bank many decades ago, the parent bringing a child and their money box in at that time was a nightmare come true - and that was before coin counting machines existed in all but the biggest branches).
I have no clue folks, I routinely update mine as a matter of habit.
There can’t be any consequence if not the need to wait for long time at the first occasion you do get to the counter to update them all. that’s it. It’s not a crime haha.
