What a nice change. Someone has actually learned to buttress his arguments with facts. Cannot argue against those right now but naturally wish they were not true. Now. If only you could be so well-informed on the other subjects that you choose to discuss.

Anyway, I have already resigned myself to some losses tomorrow. That does not mean that things will come to an end. Might lead to some more responsibility from the Democrats. Do you think that once in power the Democrats will really pull anyone out of Iraq? Do you think that the interrogation methods approved by Bush are really going to come to an end? Possible but these are real issues and prior to this discussion, I sense that the Democrats were more interested in scoring political points. That will be less possible IF and WHEN they actually take over.

Will the Democrats, if they take control of both houses, have the authority to pull anyone out? They could cut off funding, but that’s it, right? At best, the administration will have to put up with some serious scrutiny and oversight for a change, but responsibility for planning and execution of the war remains with the administration.
