US experimenting with Caps on Internet usage. Will it fly here?

I just heard on the US news that Comcast and the other guys are going to experiment in capping how much you use so they can generate a new “revenue stream” to increase profits.

So far here the cost of net connection is slowly but steadily going down. Taiwan tends to learn the wrong things from the states. Would they try this here?

Comcast has been throttling for a long time now. Zhong Hua seems to get a lot of scrutiny from the press because they have somewhat of a monopoly advantage when it comes to infrastructure so they probably won’t do anything like that.

comcast is absolutely evil.

Lure you in with 20 usd/month, then jack it up to 60 usd/month a few months later.

If I would download torrents, I could download 4 at a time simultaneously. Any more, and my internet connection would go down for about 6 hours…happened EVERY single time.

That makes sense Confucious, to prevent the few monopolizing bandwidth and slowing everybody’s connections.
AFAIK, Taiwanese tele companies are making it harder to get the all you can eat deal now, but there are plenty of options to choose from.

no caps!!!

Seek out competitors who say no to caps. Just say no to caps! Let’s not return to the old days!

caps are just for show anyway just like punctuation
