I have an iPhone purchased in the US. A few weeks ago I was trying to download some apps from the App Store but got a message that I’m not permitted to. I forgot the reason given. Most apps I can download but there were a few I couldn’t. Does anyone how I can download these Taiwan apps? Thanks
You have to switch your App Store location to Taiwan
I would recommend you create a new app store account and switch to that one in the app store just for downloading Taiwan app store apps.

Likely still on a US app store, changing app stores can be tricky thou. Sometimes you must have a valid Credit/Debit card from the ‘right’ country and if you have any app subscriptions from another country (Apple Music thing) you might have to wait for that to finish before you can change store.
It’s probably easier to run a 2nd account for the 2nd store.

The only annoying part about this is that you regularly need to switch accounts again to update the apps… But the good thing is that the AppStore account is independent from the iCloud account - so no need to log out of the latter one.

I believe to switch / create a Taiwan App Store account, you need a Taiwan billing address and phone number. I think you might also need a Taiwanese credit card but not 100% sure.
You may be right about needing a Taiwanese credit card. I tried to use a US based card and it didn’t let me.
When I try logging into a different appstore account in the App Store App, I just get diverted to appleID? Am I doing something wrong?
You need to create a new AppleId (with a different email address) for the Taiwan AppStore. One AppleId is always bound to a specific country, so you can not use it to login to another country’s store.

If I have a US Apple ID and create a second Apple ID for Taiwan to download all the Taiwan apps I want, can I switch back to my US Apple ID after the Taiwan apps are already downloaded?
Yes! That’s what I am doing.
Just need to keep switching accounts to keep all apps updated…
Just make sure to remember your account details. You might also need to enter an OTP received via text message (so make sure you can actually receive text messages with the phone number of your US account before you log out. Otherwise, you might not be able to log back in!)
