Since 2009 IRS has offered various Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Programs (OVDP’s). On March 14, 2018, the IRS announced that the current OVDP would end on September 28, 2018. This means that if you have (or know someone) who has not been doing their FBars, or delinquent on business filings, this is their last chance to get in on this program. Don’t be fooled; this isn’t an amnesty program, but a means to get right with the IRS should you want to do so.
