China will now have to think thrice!

UDN—stirring the pot?

The most reputable journalist in TW is also on the case.

From what I gathered there was always some activity in Taiwan.

Yes there have been US troops deployed in Taiwan for a long time, but now they are going to be “stationed” here officially… It is probably all just a PR tactic to show support for Taiwan

Does that mean annoying US navy ships paying a visit a la Pattaya, Thailand, when the sailors go apeshit for a day or two?
Then again, looking at the recent state of US recruits, they will probably go on woke marches.

Lol

Feb 14, how did that slide under our radar?

Stationed in KINMEN? Holy moly. No wonder China was getting frisky recently.

Keoni only spotted it today too by looks of it, after it was posted on Reddit

It’s a genius move, really. Drop it when we are supposed to be stunned by love or chocolate (at least this is what I have heard happens on that day) and there you go. It’s a fait accompli.

Maybe they will go Rambo on the PLA. The military recruiters basically told us we would get a fat check if we volunteer to go there because we will probably all die if there was an invasion but not so directly.

Love it.

And stationed on the closest island to China.

With the Green Berets, they are reportedly at the strategic defensive points: Kinmen and Matsu yes, but actually more strategically in Penghu and at the mouth of the Danshui River.

As much as people criticize US intervention this is a good move for the security of the region.

We’ll remember this as the Tsai era turn.

She is reportedly the first president in 40 years to publicly acknowledge US military presence in Taiwan.

She has certainly left her mark.

She navigated the situation tactfully and oversaw another economic boom in Taiwan with another successful peaceful transition of power in a democratic election.

China has already factored in American intervention in their calculus. What’s the point of announcing this provocative stuff?
