The Republicans are all about freedom of speech until they don’t like the speech. What did she say anyway?

In some countries those on student visas are not allow to disrupt protests. Same in Taiwan before yes? So a breach of student visa conditions gets you deported.

I looked around but I don’t see what she said.

it’s important to always follow the rules and regulations regarding peaceful protests and be mindful of potential consequences related to their visa status if they engage in disruptive or illegal activities during a protest.

So it may not have been anything to do with her 1st amendment rights but other breaches of the law. She could have been found to have been asked to leave a place on campus then she would be legally tresspassing by remaining there.

They just made up a rule out of their ass lol

Yeah I want to know what she did.

There are rules that apply to being a foreign student in the USA and other countries. She has a right of protest and free speech… I don’t know what she did.

Well I’m not believing these morons until I find out. probably she said a bad word about Israel or something.

Agree but supporting a terrorist organization doesn’t look good either.

Right. it could easily be something I wouldn’t support, but unless she was inciting violence or something I still don’t like it.

She was arrested at the protests but I don’t know why.

Liu was among hundreds of UCLA students participating in protests against Israel’s military actions in Gaza. The protests escalated in early May 2024 when law enforcement raided a solidarity encampment where nearly 400 demonstrators had gathered. According to protest organizers, over 100 people were injured in the raid, with some requiring hospital treatment. Police used flash-bangs and batons to disperse the crowd.

She’s a student and should stay out of USA politics. She’s not a citizen. Protest in China. I don’t protest in Taiwan or any other country I’m not a citizen of. I can’t imagine going to China and protesting against President Xi.

If she was organizing pro-Israel rallies should she be deported?

Even so she has 1st amendment rights to free speech. All people in the USA do.

Lets see… promotes rallies for a known terrorist organization called Hamas v organizing for Pro Israel… hmmmm hard choice I know lol

The prime minister of Israel has been indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity for Israel’s actions in Gaza so the choice is between terrorism and crimes against humanity.

There must be somewhere between the two.

There needs to be some legal challenge to this.
