Your comment stated that it “was great that someone finally built a wall”, with the operative word being “someone”, i.e. Trump. Do yourself a favor and read up on how much wall Donny actaully built. Another brilliant Donny Wall outcome is that in order to build his Wall he first had to build proper raods to get in all the heavy machinery. Said roads now make it much easier for the coyotes S of the B to transport those fleeing north.
Oh, and Yes, I have been to borders towns in the USA. Most likely many more of them than you.

The CCP is so good at playing the “racism” card. The Chinese people I know in the US (who are all now US citizens, which means they’re not Chinese) continue to say its “racist” to even claim COVID started in China. Its even more racist to say that even if you want to play misinformation games, Wuhan was ground zero and the CCP only blocked domestic flights, allowing people to hop on planes out of the country and spread a virus they knew was problematic. That is racist to say to most Chinese people. Even worse is the US population seemed to be made up of Trump supporters attacking anyone that looked Asian for being the reason for COVID and anyone who didn’t support Trump seeming to agree that stating facts like “COVID started in China” (stated with no racial implications!) must be a racist. And oh did the CCP love that!
Remember when Tedros was making a stink about how “someone from Taiwan’s government said something racist to him and they should apologize” and then some TW spokesperson was like “let us know who said what and we’ll get right on it”. And then everyone that loves the WHO was like “theres no room for racism right now Taiwan, we have a pandemic to deal with! apologize!” And then the whole story fizzled out instead of people pointing out that you can’t just claim someone is racist just cuz you dont like how well they’re handling things while the rest of the world fails? Yeah, I have a problem with the whole “racism” thing. There is a lot of it in this world, and it is problematic, but China is too good at playing the “racism” card when there is none. Worse, too many people are afraid of being seen as racist when race has NOTHING to do with it when it comes to Chinese people.
The CCP now requires, by law, that all Chinese nationals turn over any research information they have about anything. You risk imprisonment for non-compliance. There is nothing racist about saying “sorry Chinese national, you can’t work here anymore, effective immediately, cuz we can’t have you stealing this information in order to save yourself or family members from imprisonment.”

If I didn’t have a day job I could find more anecdotes of white people attacking Asians than you can black people attacking Asians.
Some would do it anyway, some need to watch Tucker to get off their bum.
Maybe that is true but maybe it isn’t. A very high proportion of the attacks follow that narrative but the media reports it almost exclusively the other way. You have to go through about 6 news stories until you actually see who perpetrated the offense. When this was happening time after time after time it seemed to follow this.
The issue is that people do not have rational discourse and it is so easy to discount half a population. It’s funny that the least racist countries in the world,
the ones that have the greatest level of protection and opportunity are characterized as the worst. And yes it is fair to compare. That is not saying we should not improve.

Well actually almost every time I saw a report of this happening I looked into it and it followed this narrative. I was saying that to couch and soften my speech but of course you use this against me. People really decide how they want to use statistics and how they prioritize them. I don’t give a bunk about trump but to write off half the country is also bunk. Just search some of those assaults during that time period. Some people just “LIKE TO SCREAM”.

I guess I misspoke as I was taking anecdotes as individual stories as representative of a larger narrative. So what I was talking about in the first place was not anecdotal but many individual stories of fact to show a greater narrative.

Your question to me was, “Have you ever been to a border town?” Not, “Did I live in one?”. But wall or no wall, people who want to cross the border north will find some way to do so, even if it means dying. Donny built very little new wall and what was built was not paid for by Mexico.
Re: Sleepy Joe flying migrants to NYC during the evening, is that any different than what Desantis did with MA, or Abbot bussing same to NYC? Hey, I’m not saying Sleepy Joe has all the answers because we all know he doesn’t. And as far as I’m concerned, no politician does. I personally am tired of old, white men calling all the shots in American gov’t. And don’t get me started on the “non-partisan” members of SCOTUS.
America is in desperate need of political change that needs to come from younger, more progressive leaders. Unfortunately, I don’t see many of these on the immediate horizon. There are some with potential but they will need some serious fine tuning before they are ready for bigger stages.
As for Donny, electing him would be as big a mistake as having 4 more years of Sleepy Joe. But at least with Sleepy I would feel safe knowing that the US Constitution would be strictly upheld and concern of having some petty, revenge seeking autocratic grifter who is willing to take down American democracy so that he can promote only himself and his agenda would not be one I would have.
The Kool-Aid is getting stronger now as the mid-term election draws closer. It’s frightening seeing some of the (nearly all) GOP candidates spewing some of the lies and vitriol on TV and the web. America. I fear is heading in a very dangerous direction. I pray that I’m wrong.
Walls make illegal immigrant communities larger, because seasonal workers stay in the US instead of going home when it’s offseason.
