Use Easy Card / Yo Yo Card to buy fuel or pay for parking in Taipei? Or other good uses for remaining balance

新年快乐! :pig: Happy New Year! :pig:

Two Quick questions

  1. Do gas stations accept an easy card for fuel purchases?
  2. Any way to use the easy card to pay for parking (the street parking tickets the scooter patrol issues)?

We’re trying to get rid of the balance on a few cards and are finding that we cannot use them to pay for much at the convenience stores.

Buy a pizza. Pizza Hut allows you to use whatever money you have on there and then just pay the difference in cash

Thanks, but a :pizza:, while tasty, is not what I had in mind.

The goal is to use it for something we normally buy and preferably car related (i.e. fuel, parking fees, or e-Tag).

Thanks!

Gas can’t
Parking fee tickets can’t
E-Tag can’t

Shopping can
MRT can
Parking garages can
Taxi (some) can

Do you know you can return it and get paid for the card + whatever balance you have in it?

There you go.
Bam.
Solution.

@SuiGeneris @RickRoll thanks both for the good info!

Just to clarify, does “card + whatever balance” mean that if you have a balance of $1,000 you get the $1,000 plus the deposit on the card ($50 or whatever it is)?

Yep. That’s it.
