Hi guys, I have been trying to find out about road bike rental possibilities in Taipei on the internet, but without success. Hence my message in this topic. Bike Shops in Taipei

Since getting back into cycling this year I’ve been to almost every bike shop in and around Taipei on more than one occasion. So I thought about doing a quick rundown of some of the shops (the ones I have bought something or had some bike work done at) for any of you needing to find a bike shop in Taipei area. Giant shop on the corner of Heping East road and Guling street (5 minute walk from the Kuting MRT station exit 8). They have mostly Giant stuff, but also a lot of high-end road (Campagn…

@LukeForward might have something in his workshop over near Gong Guan.

Lots of FB groups for used bikes. You can also check FB marketplace. If that doesn’t work, you can always put up a wanted ad. You can also hit up the local bike shops and see if they have customer’s bikes on sale. Sometimes they sell bikes in the shop for their loyal customers.

Last thing, if you’re near 190cm and a big budget, I may have something for you.

I don’t think they’ll do a weekend rental, but there’s a place down by the river in Gongguan (past the Water Museum) that rents bikes by the hour. You can probably park your van nearby and and get a bike there.

Also Enjoy Bicycle 191 has their own branded bicycles for less than $2000 new. I don’t think they sell used bikes. The boss speaks some English so you can ask him about renting.
