But would you say that the police here are generally equal to, or even close to, the quality of those in (most of) our native countries? Would you say that they mostly enforce the law and intervene when they see the law being broken? Would you say that they are generally less corrupt than those in (most of) our native countries?
Sure, there are some good ones. Just like there are some bad ones in our countries. But to suggest that the level of quality is even close is absurd.
And where did I say anywhere in my post that the police here are generally equal to, or even close to, the quality of those in (most of) our native countries? Come on - show it to me and win a prize.
Fine, but then why would you defend them? And with that said, that means we (and the Taiwanese themselves) have every reason to trash them for their ineptitude.
Wow. That guy sure had a death wish. The cops were comically generous and he still managed to get himself killed. I mean, after they shot the tires out, where exactly did he think he was going to escape to?
Wonder why they didn’t just shoot the guy (in the lower part of his body, through the window) after he sped away the first time. Surprised to see shooting at tires prove so ineffective. I guess we’re conditioned by movies that everything you shoot at always explodes…lol
i can understand why the police didn’t ram the vehicle or block it with their own cars. However, I’m really puzzled why the police didn’t ask people in the other vehicles to get out of their cars. If they keep letting the bystanders drive their cars away, the car can just drive further and further.
Don’t pump your tires (tyres) up to too much, and at lower pressure they wont explode. Remember that if you need to do a get away ha ha. (just joking of course)
Should of boxed him in, not that hard when driving at slow speeds.
I always joke about them being a bunch of retards, just take a look at this video.
Central Taipei police spent 30 mins trying to pull over a car, they fired about 50 shots from their guns and made no real attempt to stop the car.
It seems they have no training of any kind in the field of car blocking or fish tailing, they cant even aim a gun properly.
In the end the driver is shot fatally and they dont even know why they were firing at him.
That’s ridiculous. Traffic alone should have been enough to stop that guy.
Their lack of training resulted in the death of that man, who from what I’ve seen did nothing to deserve death. He did not run over any cop, slam into other cars, or endangered pedestrians more than your daily taxi.
