Uzbek surrogate mom scandal -- holy crap, I know that lady!

But surely the fathers wouldn’t be considered appropriate parents? Plus they’ll be in jail. The first woman brought over wants her baby - would the authorities allow her to take the child with her when whe is deported?

No, babiers born in Taiwan no dot automatically qualify for citizenship just because they were born here. No, the law is not like in the States.

It is actually very complicated to register the child if he/she’s “illegitimate”. It will be quite a burocratic nightmare -something along the lines of the movie No Puedo vivir sin ti.

I do not think the children will be deported -hope so- but guardianship is going to be complicated. Taking children back when one parent is Taiwanese is an epic battle, so, it is very uncertain what will happen here.

… so the women lose their children and get deported back to whence they came, likely poverty (add on the social and financial burden of being ostracized, should these “secrets” come out in Small-Town Uzbekistan), and the men get … a little jail time.
How fair is that?

You really believe it was artificial insemination? Trafficking “only”?
hmm

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

UZBEKS!
