Back in 1978, 12 year-old Brooke Shields had fully nude scenes in the movie Pretty Baby, by Academy Award nominated director, Louis Malle. But that was long long ago, and America has become infinitely more prudish since then.
I’m not saying it’s good for a 12 year-old to be portrayed fully nude as a child prostitute for all the world to see. I wouldn’t allow my daughter to take that role. And Brooke Shields has done nude scenes and sexy scenes since she was a baby (and has admitted to suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts). Just saying times have changed.

You may be right. Perhaps it’s more accurate to say that a vast schism has formed in America between the sluts and the prudes, with the sluts increasingly trying to flash their tits in others’ faces and the prudes increasingly trying to censor them. I know which side I’m rooting for.

I’m sure you’re right, Icon, it must be hard being a young girl facing such pressures. Hell, adolescence is a bitch for most everyone. Even tougher if you’re making millions of dollars in a serious, adult business, being pushed around by countless agents, directors, producers, CEOS, handlers, parents, etc., all with different ideas of how to manipulate you, under the pressure of the media spotlight. Oh well, at least she has millions of dollars to show for it.
